All business men urged to listen. .A Marine recruiting office has been opened at Hendersonville to receive applicants for enlist ment in the Marine Corps, ages 17 to 33, married or single. Grand Master James E. Shipman of the Masonic lodge will be the chief speaker here Monday night at a meeting of local Masons and friends .... The local sugar rationing office was swamped Thursday afternoon with applicants wanting canning sugar. The office is open on Mon day mornings and Thursday af ternoons according to the schedule published. Elsewhere in this Bul letin is published the names of persons in the county who will receive applications and save many from coming to Tryon .... USO CLOSE TO TOP Treasurer Julian B. Hester re ports that 260 people have donat ed $881.82 to the USO campaign for funds with which to entertain men in the armed service. The goal is $990, over $100 needed by next week.
